Without revealing too much of the plot, I do want to post some photos of Old Quebec where I introduce a new character. Takoda and this potential “customer” meet at an outdoor restaurant at Place Royale.

This is the historic site where Samuel de Champlain founded the City of Québec in 1608. The perfectly restored houses that surround Place Royale have become restaurants with patios and stores that sell souvenirs, crafts, and more.

I’ve included a photo of Notre Dame des Victoires Church, also located at Place Royale>

Takoda is there to meet a contact who might hire him to restore one of the historic “Little Boats of Dunkirk” which assisted in the evacuation of Dunkirk during World War II. There are a few historic photos added here.

The chance to restore the boat and Takoda’s new “friend” give the plot a major twist.

I actually visited Old Quebec with our granddaughter who is the model I used on the covers of the three novels.

A new character is introduced in Book Three, Promised.

He comes to Mackinac Island from the country of St. Kitts/Nevis and is a CIA agent. His mission surprises Chief, but they eventually work together to capture some of the perpetrators.

I had a lot of fun with this character and based him on a person we met on a trip to the islands. It was great sport taking an interesting man who roamed the beaches with his pet monkey and turning him into a clever, charming agent.

The following photos were all taken at St. Kitts.

I used the Brimstone Hill Fortress National Park as a site where the Russian mafia meet. A perfect setting for a clandestine meeting at night.
